Discipleship Tools

Are you a new Christian or seeking truth about God? Let us give you the tools and support you need to grow in your faith. You can join a Faith Group, a Bible Study or read a book to help learn more about what it means to be a Christian.

Pastor Richard recommends the book "New Christian's Handbook" by Max Anders. "I've used Max Anders' book for discipleship for years," says Richard. "It's written in an easy-to-follow, simple-to-digest, short-chapter style that covers exactly what every Christian needs to know."

Copies of  "New Christian's Handbook" are available for FREE at the Welcome Center located in the church lobby. Stop by and ask for yours.

The best way to read the book is with a friend who has been a believer longer than you.  Read a few chapters and schedule a weekly or every-other-week get-together to discuss what you're learning and ask your questions. This is the type of discipleship the Bible recommends.

Verses about discipleship

"As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend." Proverbs 27:17

"You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others." 2 Timothy 2:2

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20
